Load cell amplifiers are electronics that do not have displays. Sometimes referred to as signal conditioners, they transform a mV/V load cell signal to another type of signal, such as analogue (mA, V) or digital (RS232/RS485).
When you have a load cell and an amplifier, they will require calibrating together initially for the system to work correctly. Calibration is performed by applying a known force to the load cell when connected to the amplifier so that the amplifier gain can be set.
