CUSTOM DESIGN

We offer an efficient, cost-effective, and quality controlled design service for one-off and volume quantity orders. We can tailor load cells, load pins or instrumentation to meet your exacting requirements.

Our 5 step custom design process

Irrespective of whether you’re in desperate need of an innovative and intricate solution to a complex measurement challenge, or simply require a dimensional tweak to one of our standard products, we’ll strictly adhere to the below process, so that both parties can be confident our delivered products will function as desired when utilised.

We follow a similar process for all of our strain gauge installations.

1

Consult

Our experienced team of engineers will work closely with you to thoroughly understand your performance requirements and design constraints.

2

Compute

We'll use our advanced calculators, which have been developed in-house using a powerful mix of finite element computational analyses and real-world experimental data, to contrive the best measurement solution for you.

3

Approve

Our proposal will be outlined within an all-encompassing final specification document and drawing package. We shall share this with you, alongside CAD models, for approval.

4

Manufacture

Next, your bespoke transducer will be carefully manufactured in-house by our talented and passionate technicians, using state-of-the-art equipment.

5

Test

Finally, we will rigorously test your device prior to dispatch and report all acquired data back to the customer within a performance data sheet, so that both parties can be confident the product conforms to specification and will perform as desired in-situ.

Customisable Products

Many advanced measurement applications require multiple transducers and pieces of instrumentation to operate harmoniously together as one cohesive system for a solution to be realized. Often, there is also little scope for modification of the arrangement this measurement system must be integrated within. In such cases, sourcing viable off-the-shelf products from multiple suppliers can be a logistical nightmare. This is why we offer a custom design service that’s limited only by the realms of what is technically possible.

Our technical team can tailor both transducers and instrumentation to meet your exacting requirements, whilst ensuring these will function seamlessly together in-situ.
